DETROIT

Like I was going to write about anything else today..... I am happy to be back in the D, I sure miss spring time in Michigan (minus the allergies). So far I have had dinner with my family, got to meet me future niece (felt my sister in laws belly), had lunch with a friend who recently started a publishing company which was a great brainstorming session for future projects, met up with a couple friends I haven't seen in a while (aka happy hour), then pow-wowed with the Opening Day crew for a plan of action for tomorrow. Not bad for 34 hours! Early start tomorrow I wish I could blog from my phone, I would love to keep you posted about the game. So far sunny and 50ish.... Good thing I brought the whiskey. Go Tigers!!

Cold Weather

So I landed in Michigan this afternoon to 45 degrees...... It just started getting up to 79 in California. I guess I haven't seen snow in 2 years so I can't really complain but it's funny how quickly you become such a pansy. I just hope it's sunny on Thursday! Looks like we are shuttling from Rochester to downtown. Can't wait to start my morning the Irish way!

Baseball in the D

As I stated in my first blog opening day in in 3 days. Today I secured my shuttle to the game and bought a handful on mini bottles of Jameson and Baileys. I just finished packing and since the weather is going to be much cooler then I expected I had to pack an extra jacket and warm clothes. My airport shuttle picks my up at 2:50am which is only 8 hours away, so do I try to sleep now or just stay awake?

April Fools

Today is April 1st! This day to me signifies the official start of Spring. Mainly because in 4 days it is Opening Day! This year I will be heading back to Michigan to Watch the Detroit Tigers play the Boston Red Sox (which I might add is my future husband's team). That's right folks I am leaving sunny California to spend my Thursday in 45 degree (as of now) weather, outside tailgating in the streets of downtown Detroit. One of the only days of the year that it is not only acceptable to drink at 8 am but encouraged. Go Tigers!!
